Job Description

As an unarmed patrol officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor screening, document activity using a computer and/or tablet, and communicate clearly with site teams and guests. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and facility notifications per site procedure.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, hangars, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, confirming authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing visitors to the proper location.
  • Monitor and operate access control systems, CCTV, intrusion alarms, and/or intercoms, and report irregular conditions per site procedure.
  • Complete required security-related reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in a clear and timely manner.
  • Support contractor, vendor, and visitor management, including sign-in processes, verifying work authorization, and coordinating escorts when required.
  • Help maintain orderly traffic and pedestrian flow at gates and parking areas, including assisting with deliveries and coordinating with site contacts for access.
  • Observe for signs of tampering, theft, or suspicious behavior, and promptly notify site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
  • Participate in drills and follow site emergency procedures for evacuations, shelter-in-place, and accountability processes.
  • Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and management while enforcing site rules with a customer-focused approach.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
