Job Description
As a Security Officer - Aerospace Roving Patrol in Novi, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aero/defense location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, support access control and badging processes, and provide clear, professional communication to personnel and visitors. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, reliability, and an agile, people-first approach, partnering with site teams to identify concerns early and help keep operations running smoothly.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and Allied Universal procedures and/or when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aero and defense location.
- Control access to the location by verifying identification and authorization, managing visitor processing, and directing individuals to approved areas.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, hangars, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and other systems as assigned and report observed issues according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related calls, fire-related alarms, and policy violations, and notify appropriate contacts.
- Document patrols, access control activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and daily logs with clear, complete information.
- Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, area closures, accountability efforts, and traffic control as directed by site leadership.
- Coordinate with site personnel and/or local responders when needed, providing accurate information and maintaining a professional presence.
- Perform security-related checks of doors, gates, badges, and restricted areas, reporting unsecured conditions and following escalation guidelines.
- Provide courteous assistance and directions, answer questions, and help maintain an orderly environment consistent with location requirements and post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
