The Senior Systems Engineer will provide expert systems engineering support to PMA-205, supporting the research, development, integration, and sustainment of aviation mission computing systems across Navy and Marine Corps platforms. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong systems engineering discipline, and the ability to operate effectively within a DoD acquisition and NAVAIR program environment. The candidate will apply systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle-requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification and validation, and sustainment-while supporting program execution, technical reviews, and stakeholder coordination.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $110,323.71-$165,485.57 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.

Duties:
- Provide senior-level systems engineering support across PMA-205 mission computing programs
- Lead and support requirements analysis, system decomposition, and interface definition
- Develop and evaluate system architectures, trade studies, and technical alternatives
- Support research and development activities for emerging mission system technologies
- Perform integration planning and assess impacts across hardware, software, and networked systems
- Support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
- Develop and review technical documentation, specifications, and engineering artifacts
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and cybersecurity engineering coordination
- Collaborate with Government, OEMs, and support contractors to resolve complex technical issues
- Provide engineering recommendations to support cost, schedule, and performance decisions
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Required Experience:
- 12+ years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD or aerospace programs
- Demonstrated experience applying systems engineering principles across the system lifecycle
- Experience supporting NAVAIR programs and DoD acquisition processes
- Familiarity with mission computing systems, avionics, or complex software-intensive systems
- Experience supporting technical reviews and producing high-quality engineering documentation
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical discipline
- Prior PMA-205 experience or familiarity with NAVAIR mission systems portfolios
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of RMF, cybersecurity engineering, and IA requirements
- Experience working with OEMs and integrating Government and contractor-developed systems
