You will be the R&D Program Manager for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Advanced Programs (AP) organization. Our team is responsible for researching, developing, and delivering leading-edge technology solutions for platform/weapon systems to address sophisticated threats and complex mission objectives in a highly integrated battlespace.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Research & Development (R&D) Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading R&D teams to develop and transition advanced technology within the Department of War (DoW). You will manage Government Contract Research And Development (CRAD) programs and Internal Research and Development (IRAD) portfolios. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

• Program management of Government lab CRAD programs and internal R&D (IRAD) portfolios.
• Capturing CRAD funding opportunities.
• Leading cross-discipline technical teams in the development of advanced solutions.
• Building strong working team relationships throughout the organization.
• Demonstrating ability to work across organizational boundaries and jurisdictions.
• Developing and transitioning advanced technology to Lockheed Martin platforms/systems as well as opportunities for adjacencies.

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of a completed bachelors degree in engineering
• Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
• An independent worker with a successful track record of managing advanced programs contracts on-cost, on-schedule, and providing high-quality contract deliverables that met or exceeded customer expectations.
• Has led advanced technology development projects and R&D teams for Government programs or similar (such as DARPA, ONR, AFRL, Intelligence Community, or similar) from early concept through transition to DoW product lines. Demonstrated program management for U.S. Government Contract Research and Development (CRAD). Current knowledge of the DoD S&T (Science & Technologies) environment and acquisition process.
• Team player - Builds effective customer, team, and partner relationships. Effective at organizing and motivating managers and engineers to act as "one" in the pursuit of common objectives.
• Domestic travel up to 20%.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate to a positive outcome with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written skills necessary to articulate strategies to both internal and external customers.
Desired Skills:
• Experience in program management and subcontract management for remote teams in different locations.
• Experience in authoring proposals and leading Government CRAD proposal teams.
• Demonstrated experience of engineering R&D projects in technology areas such as: Power Electronics and Power Systems, Radio-Frequency (RF) technology, digital and analog electronics, advanced materials, or advanced packaging.
• Knowledge of technologies and products similar to or related to Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control programs (for example sensors, Defense platforms, missiles, etc.).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
