We are currently seeking a Supervisor for the Denver Central Receiving and Inventory Management function at our Waterton facility in Littleton, CO. In this role you will be responsible for supervising the direct receipt, warehousing, and distribution of thousands of highly specialized electronic parts and systems. Materials managed and distributed by your organization support the manufacturing products made by Lockheed Martin Space such as GPS Satellites, ORION Space Vehicles, and NASA Space Exploration Missions.
The work environment is exciting and fast paced and provides the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art inventory storage and retrieval systems and software. You will be responsible for leading and motivating others, delegating work and explaining ideas, solving problems, and making decisions. The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines is essential. Manufacturing needs can, and do, change so flexibility and teamwork are a must. Your role will involve daily interaction with your manufacturing customers.
Responsibilities will include but aren't limited to:
• Supervisor responsibility for the Denver Central
Receiving Dock, Warehouse, and Stockroom.
• Supervisor responsibility for Production Development
Center (PDC/CDS) Receiving Dock.
• Supervisor responsibility for the on-campus delivery
and priority drivers.
• Be able to provide metric reports, requested
information, complete special projects, and assignments
to management as needed.
• Ensure that all cycle time goals for material processing are met following established procedures, command media, and system processes.
• Supervise tasks within budgetary and schedule restraints.
• Coordinate/lead/perform subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary, recognition, mentoring, and career counseling.
• Ensure employee training and skills certification are up to date, assign new training, as necessary.
• Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans.
• Supervisor responsibility for hourly represented work force.
• Manage attendance and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure adherence to the Represented Employees Union contract agreement.
• Active participation in and implementation of improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Collaboration with other organizations i.e. manufacturing, ATLO, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Shipping to ensure timely delivery of materials to end users.
• Interface with internal and external auditors.
• Act of behalf of the Department Manager in his/her absence.
• Accomplish tasks mainly through direct supervision of non-exempt and hourly represented employees.
• Provide direction of daily operations and actively assist or provides direction to subordinates as required.
• Develop work assignments and assess performance. Normally does not perform direct tasks of group supervising but may assist as workload requires.
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3-5 years of material management and
distribution experience.
• Experience in a supervisory or a team lead role.
• Effective and efficient written and verbal
communication.
• Strong computer skills to include experience
with an automated system designed to manage major
business process such as procurement, planning, or
supply chain/inventory management.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite - (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must be able to work occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Current/Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Must be able to complete assignments requiring judgment and discretion, failure to achieve results may affect schedules and programs.
• Able to provide reports, requested information, completed special projects, and assignments to management as needed.
• Good Understanding of Supply Chain performance metrics
• Proficiently skilled in MS Office suite. Intermediate/Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient working with Inventory Management Software systems
• Knowledge of Shelf-life, hazardous material, and temperature-controlled material
• Experience working with Union contracts
• Experienced in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
• Willingness to accept added responsibilities
• Superior knowledge of Receiving/Warehousing/Inventory management

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,200 - $109,595. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
