SOSi is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Support Lead (Network) in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate will possess experience overseeing engineering, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level network architectures and transport systems in support of theater-level mission requirements. The role involves leading technical network engineering efforts, ensuring infrastructure integrity, and providing high-level technical support across complex routing, switching, and WAN environments.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide senior-level engineering support for the development, integration, and implementation of complex network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Lead the technical planning and execution of network backbone upgrades, circuit transitions, and resource allocation for theater-level communication systems.
- Oversee the performance and health of the wide area network (WAN) and local area network (LAN) to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-speed data transport.
- Direct the configuration and maintenance of routing protocols and transport technologies to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow.
- Ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by performing advanced troubleshooting and maintaining strict STIG compliance.
- Provide situational assessments, capacity planning metrics, and proactive technical support to address emerging connectivity requirements and theater-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Active in scope Secret clearance.
- BA/BS degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics) plus three (3) years of specialized experience OR Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR a major professional certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR eleven (11) years of specialized experience.
- Possession of a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Network Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS).
- The following experience may be concurrent.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience maintaining and developing TCP/IP networks (on Ethernet, ATM/SONET and/or wide area transports).
- Minimum three (3) years of direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of expert-level certification such as CCIE or JNCIE.
- Extensive experience with BGP, MPLS, and VRF configurations in a multi-site enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco ISE, 802.1X authentication, and Comply-to-Connect (C2C) standards.
- Proficiency in Python or Ansible for automating network configuration and auditing.
- Experience with Cisco Nexus (9k/7k/5k) series switches and ASR/ISR series routers.
- Familiarity with Cisco SD-Access or SD-WAN implementation.
- Prior experience supporting theater-level network operations centers.

- Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
