Position Summary

The Mission

Odyssey is the technical backbone behind critical airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness programs for the Department of Defense , with deep expertise serving Air Force and Space Force customers in Command, Control, Communications and Battle Management (C3BM), Sensors, and Space Domain Awareness. From concept to sustainment, we engineer the systems that bridge operational and acquisition communities, ensuring warfighters have the integrated capabilities required for mission success.

As part of our strategic growth and commitment to technical depth development, we are establishing the Executive Director, Integrated Solutions Group to build and lead the organization that will oversee, define and evolve Odyssey's technical identity and technical future. Th e Executive Director role will oversee our Technical Center and Solutions Innovation Center , the engines of technical excellence, innovation, and delivery across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Organizational Leadership
Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Technical Center and Solutions Innovation Center . Establish organizational frameworks, governance structures, and collaborative processes that enable effective execution across matrixed and direct-report teams. Build and scale the Solutions Innovation Center software development capability while coordinating Technical Center resources matrixed from across the enterprise. Drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and technical excellence across both centers. Position Odyssey as a recognized technical and engineering leader, particularly with Air Force and Space Force customers.

Strategic Influence
As a senior leader reporting to the VP of Corporate Integration, influence corporate strategy, technical investment decisions, and growth priorities. Provide technical insights that determine where and how Odyssey competes and wins.

Innovation Leadership
Direct our Solutions Innovation Center to prototype and mature next-generation capabilities that differentiate Odyssey. Identify emerging technologies, develop solutions, and create technical advantages that enable success on tomorrow's critical missions.

Delivery Excellence
Establish technical rigor, standards, and enablement that ensure exceptional contract performance across our portfolio. Serve as the technical authority ensuring delivery of expertise , execution, and solutions across Aviation, C2ISR, CCN2, Space & Missile Defense, and Life Sciences domains.

Talent Development
Build career pathways, mentor senior technical leaders, and create the talent pipeline that will sustain Odyssey's technical excellence. Develop the leaders and capabilities that will drive future success.

First Year Priorities:

• Odyssey positioned as a technical and engineering leader with Air Force and Space Force customers, with demonstrated depth in C3BM, Sensors, and Space Domain Awareness and beyond.
• Integrated Solutions Group established with clear charter , defining distinct missions for the Technical Center and Solutions Innovation Center and their collaborative relationship .
• Technical Center operating with defined processes and performance metrics that strengthen Odyssey's technical identity and excellence across service delivery operations .
• Technical standards, service delivery frameworks , and best practices adopted across programs and business units, ensuring consistency and quality in technical services execution .
• Solution architects and technical fellows positioned to support service delivery teams , providing technical depth, problem-solving, and expertise across ongoing contracts .
• Technical support integrated across the Growth Spectrum , from pipeline development through capture, proposal, and delivery transition , ensuring service-based solutions are credible, competitive, and executable .
• Technical solutions and expertise deployed to help clients address complex mission challenges, strengthening customer relationships and service contract performance.
• Internal clarity established on technical priorities, roles, and decision-making authority, with seamless collaboration across Integrated Solutions, Operations, and Growth.
• High-performing culture attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional technical talent to support Odyssey's services business.
• Solutions Innovation Center operating with defined charter and initial prototyping capability as a complementary asset to core services.
• Recognition by executive leadership and customers as a key enabler of Odyssey's technical service delivery credibility and success.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance or Ability to Obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field.

Years of Experience: 15+ years leading technical organizations in aerospace, defense, or national security sectors .

Preferred Qualifications:

Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance .

Education: Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related technical field

Years of Experience: 20+ years in defense/aerospace including substantial time in senior organizational leadership roles .

Additional experience:

• Prior experience as VP of Engineering, Executive Director, Chief Engineer, or equivalent .
• Technical background in DoD mission areas such as C3BM, Sensors, Space Domain Awareness, A viation, ISR, C2, systems integration, or related domains, with preference for Air Force and Space Force customer experience .
• Experience supporting DoD customers, program offices, or operational commands .

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience building and developing high-performing technical teams through direct people management .
• Demonstrated success establishing technical centers of excellence, innovation capabilities, or engineering organizations .
• Deep credibility in systems engineering, solution architecture, and technical delivery .
• Track record as a trusted technical advisor to senior executives and business leaders .
• Experience supporting business development, capture, and organizational growth initiatives .
• Uncompromising standards for technical excellence balanced with operational pragmatism .
• Ability to translate technical complexity into business strategy .
• Proven capability attracting, developing, and retaining top-tier technical professionals .

Please note: Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
