Senior Systems Engineer- TS/SCI Clearance

This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is hiring a Sr. Systems Engineer. In this role, you will support technical direction and design development for agile software development teams, and other Engineering personnel.

This is an onsite role based in Richardson, TX.

Day in the life:

• Perform technical analyses and define how the system works creating use cases, system capability, and feature designs, defining system interfaces and acceptance criteria
• Provide engineering support for the implementation of a portion of the program's systems engineering
• Provide engineering support for the implementation of a portion of the program's systems engineering
• Collaborate with the multi discipline engineering teams to design and develop software
• Assist in providing technical information and clarification during the entire software development Lifecyle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations
• Perform solution decomposition from customer requirements, to capabilities, to features, to stories according utilizing SAFe Agile practices
• Apply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development effort
• Engage with multidiscipline SMEs to fully understand the solution and document the designs

Clearance Requirements:

• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive background investigation and pass a polygraph exam

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience
• Experience in system engineering and software systems development utilizing the full systems engineering lifecycle, Experience to create designs for various parts of the system to include functional descriptions, interfaces, architecture diagrams, and acceptance criteria
• Experience in agile software development activities, including system level design specification and integration test and verification activities (full SE life cycle)
• Experience in the IC community, including engineering work in software development, Experience in the development revisions of existing ICDs, APIs, and system specifications in response to customer changes and requests
• Cultural fit amongst a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cloud or cloud-hybrid development and deployment environments
• Working in the IC domain utilizing releasability standards
• Supporting technical exchange meetings and design briefings
• Experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high quality software is built and released to end-users quickly
• Experience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration in Cameo or similar tool
• Experience in a Product Owner role as part of an Agile software development team

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
Full benefits: $124,000 to $150,000 annually
