Amentum is looking for an experienced Welder to work OCONUS. You will be assigned to Site T in support of renovation work. This position is responsible for welding, fabrication, and installation activities supporting secure-facility construction, with a specific focus on FEBR wall systems.

Working and Living Conditions
Living accommodations are provided in an apartment complex shared with other trades. Each employee will be assigned a private apartment, with no requirement to share living space.
Work schedules are a minimum of six (6) days per week, ten (10) hours per day, with some assignments requiring longer hours. Physical requirements include heavy lifting, climbing, crawling, working outdoors, and carrying up to 40 pounds of personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
Employees must be capable of responding to emergency situations, including running and executing protective actions without placing themselves or others at risk.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform welding on various materials and assemblies using multiple welding processes, including SMAW (arc), GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), and brazing.
- Perform welding and fabrication associated with FEBR wall systems, including steel framing components, embeds, connection plates, anchors, stiffeners, and structural supports, in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Repair and modify metal surfaces and assemblies (doors, frames, drain covers, fences, gates, grates, railings, furniture, tools, parts, etc.) to ensure safe and efficient use.
- Install welded and fabricated components to support secure construction activities while meeting schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
- Support secure interior construction by coordinating welding activities with carpenters, electricians, and other trades working on FEBR walls and related systems.
- Maintain welding shop, tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate daily activities with supervisors and other trades to complete work orders efficiently and in proper sequence.
- Request welding materials and consumables to maintain inventory and ensure uninterrupted work progress.
- Assist other trades as required to support overall project execution.
- Respond to emergency or urgent repair situations as assigned.
- Transport tools, materials, and fabricated items to job sites as required.
- Work under limited supervision using standardized methods, approved procedures, and construction drawings.
- Plan work activities, prepare layouts, and maintain accurate records related to fabrication and installation tasks.
- Maintain effective, timely, and respectful communication with management, coworkers, and supporting organizations.
- Perform administrative tasks when directed, including material tracking, inventory control, work scheduling, and report preparation.
- Maintain custodianship of welding tools, fabrication equipment, and spare parts.
- Take initiative to analyze technical conditions and make informed decisions based on specifications, safety, and schedule.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
- Demonstrated experience reading and interpreting architectural and engineering (A&E) drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable U.S. codes, standards, and accepted trade practices.
- Knowledge of welding-related occupational hazards and required safety precautions.
- Experience supporting construction projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- AWS D1.1 certification required.
Passport, Licenses, and Certifications
- Valid passport.
- Valid driver's license from Home of Record.
Security Vetting
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
Language Skills
- Professional English communication skills, written and verbal.
Medical Requirements
- Favorable completion of required drug screening and physical examination.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous welding experience in an OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
- Experience working with Statements of Work (SOWs), shop drawings, and blueprints.
- Experience supporting secure or controlled-access construction projects.
