Job Description
The Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying, testing, and optimizing network and system services. The Network Engineer will take responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of network systems which include multiple operating systems and configurations, and direct troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems. The successful candidate will have documented experience with DoD networks, systems engineering and technical studies and evaluations, technology assessments, and information systems security policy compliance. The Network Engineer will have a demonstrated ability to articulate complex issues and proposed resolutions to technical and non-technical government customer.
Responsibilities:
- 5 plus years with detailed understanding of network and security appliances.
- Installation, configuration, and support of network appliances.
- Proven ability to install and configure physical components, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
- Familiar with hardening devices such as DoD STIG’ing and SCAP scanning.
- Utilizing network monitoring, management, and other tools to ensure network security and optimal performance.
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco ISE, and F5.
- Experience with Wi-Fi standards, such as 802.1ac and 802.11ax.
- Experience and understanding with implementation and troubleshooting various routing/Switching protocols.
- Experience and understanding with PKI implementation and troubleshooting communications between routers via IPsec.
- Experience and understanding in how to generate CSR (Certificate Signing Request) for various network devices and adding approved certificates to respective network devices afterward.
- Experience and understanding with firewall rules and applications of ACLs.
- Experience and understanding with network load balancers at layer 3 and layer 7.
- Experience and understanding of 802.1X standards.
- Familiar with running and configuring ACAS scans.
- Familiar with hardening systems such as DoD STIG’ing and SCAP scanning.
- Effectively interact via good verbal and written communications with technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Program Managers.
- On-call support can happen so need to be okay with this.

• Active DoD Secret Clearance minimum
• Bachelors’ Degree is required
• 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer focused on Cisco and/or Juniper appliances/environments
• 2+ years working on MCEN and DOD environments
• Solid technical understanding of network architectures to include network appliances; security appliances; application services; virtual environments; network management tools; network protocols; network troubleshooting; and optimizing network performance
• Ability to use software, tools, and scripts to configure, monitor, troubleshoot and repair network equipment
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting network problems
• Good working experience with switching technologies and concepts
Work Environment
Supporting the Marine Expeditionary force so will be working on a miliary base.

Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) is a series of capability packages designed by the National Security Agency (NSA) to provide the capability to access classified information without a Cyber security risks. The Marine Corp wants to have access to classified information while outside of secure spaces.
