Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Senior Engineering Support Specialist - Weapons Launcher Test Engineer - Secret position that just opened in Manassas, VA. In this role, you will be collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience. DoD Secret clearance is required at time of hire.

Key Responsibilities:
As a CWL Test & Evaluation Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with CWL and MTWS engineers to conduct testing and integration.
- Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups within the client and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
- Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
- Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
- Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
- Reporting to a supervisor or manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
This role may require intermittent travel, both independently and as part of a team, to support test events in partner and government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations.
Specific Responsibilities:
Your day-to-day tasks will involve:
- Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
- Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
- Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
- Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
- Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
- Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Occasional travel to submarine home ports for Field Services activities.
- Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
- Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience).
- Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.
Clearance Requirements
- Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
- Applicants may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
