Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing data communication systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems accurately, and communicate solutions to co-workers or end users.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Monitor network activity to ensure timely identification of problems and efficient operations.
  • Communicate with data-communication vendors to facilitate resolution of circuit or hardware problems.
  • Produce clear and timely documentation of network problems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of teleprocessing-network concepts and hardware alternatives through continuing education and training.
  • Plan and coordinate movement, placement, installation, and cabling of data communications equipment.
  • Assist in developing the organization's direction for telecommunication implementation of total network services.
  • Conduct site visits and walkthroughs to assess network infrastructure and provide recommendations, collaborating with the network team or manager.
  • Evaluate new construction projects and new locations for network recommendations and implementation.
  • Drive a company or personal vehicle to visit work sites and assist at emergencies or events as needed.

Experience Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking products.
  • Expertise with VXLAN, EIGRP, and BGP.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex network issues and communicating resolutions to stakeholders.
  • Experience overseeing installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
  • Background in researching network products, protocols, and standards to guide procurement and development.
  • Experience planning, scheduling, and executing network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Experience coordinating cabling and physical placement of data communications equipment.
  • Ability to conduct site assessments and produce actionable recommendations for network infrastructure.

Education Requirements:

  • CCIE in Cisco Switching and Routing (written and practical).
