What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, labs, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and assist with access control by checking identification, supporting visitor processing, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate locations.
- Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance issues, and communicate findings to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical incidents, fire and/or alarm activations, and disruptive behavior.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels, and report irregularities per site procedures.
- Complete detailed security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation using required formats and timelines.
- Support a professional environment by providing clear directions, answering general questions, and escalating concerns through the established chain of command.
- Coordinate with internal teams and/or emergency responders as directed, assisting with scene control and information sharing until relieved.
- Participate in post orders reviews, site-specific training, and shift briefings to maintain familiarity with current procedures and client expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
