Job Description
As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol Driver Clearance in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe for any unusual situations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
- Report and document any incidents, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols or while on post.
- Assist with access control procedures and/or crowd management as required by the location's needs.
- Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site staff, and emergency personnel as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
