What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, checking credentials, verifying authorizations, and directing visitors to the proper check-in process.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems and report unusual activity through established communication channels.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire indications, and suspicious activity, and request additional resources as needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in reports and/or electronic logs in accordance with post orders and client requirements.
- Support controlled areas by checking doors, gates, and restricted spaces for proper closure and signs of unauthorized entry and/or tampering.
- Provide presence at key posts during shift changes, deliveries, and special activities, coordinating with site contacts to maintain orderly movement of people and vehicles.
- Assist with visitor management by confirming appointments, issuing visitor passes when authorized, and providing directions and customer service.
- Enforce site rules and conduct as directed by post orders, using de-escalation techniques when addressing non-compliance and notifying site leadership as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Possess a Guard Card and/or license preferred.
- Have CPR certification preferred, which may be completed post hire.
- Have customer service experience preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
