Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and well-qualified professional to fill the Intelligence Specialist position. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse, high-performing team dedicated to mission success within the U.S. Space Force enterprise.

The selected candidate will provide contractor support as an Intelligence Specialist to the Space Systems Command (SSC), System Delta (SYD) 81 Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) Program Office. In this capacity, the individual will support SYD 81 acquisition intelligence activities by integrating intelligence analysis, data, and operational support across U.S. Space Force threat-based Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and training planning efforts. Responsibilities will also include supporting intelligence requirements of development across the air, space, and cyberspace domains.

Key Responsibilities

The Intelligence Specialist will:
  • Identify, assess, and address intelligence support requirements and constraints during the development and coordination of OTTI / SYD 81 strategic planning documents, operational integration products, studies, and analyses
  • Guide the establishment and sustainment of OTTI-related intelligence partnerships and relationships across all levels of leadership, in coordination with Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) Senior Intelligence Officer (S2) and associated stakeholders
  • Represent SYD 81/S2 as the intelligence subject matter expert at acquisition and test intelligence forums, supporting the development of intelligence requirements necessary for effective threat-based Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and training activities supporting OTTI
  • Lead and facilitate recurring cross-organizational meetings to establish intelligence relationships, define support and integration requirements, track actions, and develop processes for inter operable, threat-based models and data supporting OTTI
  • Serve as the OTTI Red Threat Model Integrator, in coordination with STARCOM/S2, and provide advisory support on future intelligence-related investments, capabilities, and partnership opportunities
  • Provide intelligence planning support for program transitions and operational integration in coordination with Combat Forces Command (CFC)/S2, including war fighter integration, requirements generation, exercise and wargame integration, and ISR integration supporting OTTI test and training range activities

Responsibilities

Skills and Experience

The Intelligence Specialist must have:
  • Active Top Secret (TS) clearance
  • 10+ years of DoD experience, with demonstrated experience supporting intelligence, acquisition, test, or operational environments
  • Experience providing intelligence support to acquisition and test programs, including intelligence analysis and effective leveraging of the Intelligence Community
  • Knowledge of program management principles with demonstrated experience applying them in real-world environments; experience within a Space Program Office or MAJCOM/FLDCOM
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex issues and develop actionable solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic operational environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive professional capable of operating independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts, plans, and proposals to technical and senior leadership audiences
  • Proven ability to innovate, think creatively, and translate complex or technical information into clear, understandable formats
  • Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and interfacing confidently with senior leadership

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
