Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician to support our customer on Eglin AFB. This position is in support of the 96 Civil Engineering Group and will be instrumental insupport and validation of real property on the installation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must be available during core hours of 0900-1500 CST.
- Must have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in the applicable discipline. ( 6 years' work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree plus 4 years work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree)
- Related experience in configuration facility oversight and documentation of internal GFE
- Previous experience in a government environment strongly desired.
- Must have an active and transferrable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
- Candidate must be capable of working with an assigned team in various Facilities.
- Must be self-driven/motivated to manage help desk support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support to develop and facilitate best execution of assigned projects which may include: engineering studies, concept analysis, master planning, facilities engineering, installation management, real estate management and Real Property and Master Planning (RPMP) functions.
- Provide support to accomplish basic logistics services and support services for minor facility maintenance.
- Provide technical support to accomplish planning, programming and preliminary design of new construction, sustainment, repair, and modernization projects in Government owned and/or occupied facilities at various locations worldwide.
- Will support project development activities which may include: scoping, feasibility studies, site surveys, constructability reviews, code compliance research, cost analysis, project programming documents, requirements analysis, economic analysis, etc.
- Provide technical and engineering support for facilities engineering planning activities. These activities include assisting in, but not limited to, the preparation of engineering reports and evaluations, briefing materials, technical reports on facility and engineering issues.
- Participate in technical interchanges or working group meetings and reviews as required.
- Assist with development and presenting recommendations for modifying, revising, or implementing procedures to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of building and maintaining facilities.
- May participate in high-level meetings with Army officers, civilians, Government action officers and other vendors to gather and integrate data, assist with project scheduling and track progress of assigned work segments.
