HX5 is currently seeking an entry-level acquisition engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida. This position will be temporary subject to Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of a current employee's military return rights.

Basic Duties:

• Review system documents from the prime contractor to apply to current weapon system.
• Attend design reviews and recommend changes to senior leadership.
• Attend and participate in test events, review data, and implement corrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide resources with knowledge and experience in identifying, analyzing, and evaluating mechanical, structural, thermal, and material characteristics and performance of armament systems resulting from transportation, handling, storage, and operational use.
• Have knowledge and experience in modal analysis, finite element analysis, and structural frequency testing.

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college.

Preferences:

• Solidworks, Autodesk Innovator, or MS Project experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

Other Position Requirements:

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
