Position Description: Project Manager (Senior)

System High Corporation delivers the most advanced protection and secrecy solutions to secure and strengthen critical missions, programs, operations, and intelligence activities. We are seeking a Physical Security Specialist to join our team to help contribute to our success and help us solve problems with innovation through intelligence.

The Project Manager (Senior) supports the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) Security Support Services prime contract by providing comprehensive project management expertise for the delivery of government security services. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing individual teams in planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of security-related tasks, ensuring they are delivered on time, and to the specified quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, great work ethic, initiative, and continuous process improvement initiatives, as well as a thorough understanding of government security regulations and practices, specifically related to personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Planning and Initiation:
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with the JPO stakeholders and contract leadership.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings and ensure clear communication of project goals and expectations to the project team.


Project Execution and Monitoring:
  • Manage and monitor contract progress, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks or delays.
  • Track contract costs and expenditures against the approved budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective utilization.
  • Maintain regular communication with the JPO customer and internal stakeholders, providing project updates and addressing any concerns.


Risk Management:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate task risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a risk register and proactively manage potential issues to minimize impact on deliverable and product timelines.


Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables and products by adhering to established quality assurance processes and standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews and inspections to identify and address any quality issues.


Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare and present project status reports to the JPO customer and contract leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future project performance.


Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with JPO stakeholders, including government personnel, other contractors, and vendors.
  • Effectively communicate areas of contract information and address stakeholder concerns.
  • Act as a liaison between the JPO and individual teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.


Security Compliance:
  • Ensure all contract activities are compliant with applicable government security regulations and policies, including those related to personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the F-35 security classification guide and other relevant security directives, specifically DoDM 5205.07.
  • Oversee the implementation of security measures to protect classified information and assets.


Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate individual teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional development and growth.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.


Qualifications

Education:

Master's Degree preferred or Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Project Management, Security Management), plus 4 years additional work experience related to the labor category functional description may be substituted for a Master's Degree.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically related to government security services.
  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) and familiarity with DoD security regulations and policies.
  • Experience supporting the F-35 Joint Program Office preferred.
  • Veteran of the United States Armed Forces preferred.

Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Security+ or similar security certification preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite, including MS TEAMS.
  • Thorough understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Knowledge of government security regulations and practices, including personnel, physical, information, and industrial security.

Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
