POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking a Project Manager II to support a high-tempo flight test support program for the U.S. Air Force’s 59th Test and Evaluation Squadron (59 TES) at Nellis AFB. In this role, you will support the Program Manager by helping manage program execution across schedule, cost, performance, and stakeholder coordination—ensuring work is assigned and completed on time and within budget across program projects and associated activities.
This role is ideal for a project manager who thrives in mission-driven environments, can coordinate multiple site/task leads, and can build actionable metrics that show program health and progress.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
• Support the Program Manager in managing the overall integrated schedule, ensuring work is assigned and executed on time and within budget across all projects in the program.
• Support the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of a multifaceted program consisting of closely related projects and associated activities.
• Coordinate and synchronize activities of multiple site leads across multiple tasks and (as applicable) locations.
• Support program startup and ongoing execution activities, including identifying, tracking, managing, and resolving program issues.
• Proactively disseminate program information to stakeholders as directed/required by the Program Manager (status, risks, schedule updates, issues).
• Support identification, management, and mitigation of program risk; track mitigation actions and owners.
• Collect and maintain program metrics to assess progress and the acceptability/quality of deliverables.
• Produce site-specific metrics and roll-ups for Program Manager review, including cost, schedule, and performance status updates.
• Support Government-facing meeting cadence and internal execution rhythm (as directed): action item tracking, follow-ups, documentation, and reporting support.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required. Clearance as noted above.
• Level II: Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years relevant experience supporting projects/programs
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, coordinate multi-stakeholder execution, and track program issues/risks
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to produce clear metrics/status reporting for leadership decision-making
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and comfort producing dashboards/rollups
Education/Experience Equivalencies -
• Associate’s Degree may be credited as 2 years of additional experience
• Bachelor’s Degree may be credited as 4 years of additional experience
• Master’s Degree may be credited as 6 years of additional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience supporting DoD or test/operations programs (flight test, aircraft maintenance ops, instrumentation, or range operations a plus)
• Experience coordinating across multiple functional leads (engineering, maintenance, logistics) under schedule-driven operations
• Familiarity with risk management, action tracking, and metrics reporting for Government programs
• Exposure to program startup and transition planning activities
