Description:
You will be the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Integrated Fires Protection Capability 2 (IFPC 2) Interceptor program. Our program is responsible for designing, developing and testing a next generation missile system that defends critical assets and safeguards warfighters against emerging threats.

What You Will Be Doing
As the IPT Lead you will spearhead a multidisciplinary engineering team-electrical, mechanical, structures, lethality, propulsion, thermal, materials, processes and environments-to deliver a complete, affordable, and producible interceptor solution. You will balance customer requirements with cost and schedule constraints, coordinate closely with the IFPC 2 Magazine team and exercise full authority over the interceptor team's budget and schedule. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing overall technical direction and leadership for the interceptor design, development and test effort.
• Managing the multidisciplinary IPT, aligning electrical, mechanical, structures, lethality, propulsion, thermal, materials, processes and environments engineering activities.
• Collaborating with performance and systems engineers, production, quality assurance, test operations and the global supply chain to ensure a coherent customer solution.
• Balancing customer requirements with affordability and producibility goals, driving trade studies and cost reduction initiatives.
• Coordinating closely with the IFPC 2 Magazine team on AUR M production integration and schedule alignment.
• Owning the interceptor program's budget, schedule and resource allocation, and reporting status to senior leadership.
• Leading risk identification, mitigation planning and issue resolution processes across the IPT.
• Conducting design review and verification milestones (PDR, CDR, Test Readiness Reviews) and ensuring compliance with all program requirements.
• Managing configuration control, documentation and technical data packages in accordance with Lockheed Martin standards.
• Mentoring engineers across disciplines, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture and promoting professional development.
• Supporting occasional travel to supplier sites, test facilities or customer locations as required to meet program milestones.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. An active Secret Clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

>10 years of progressive engineering experience in missile, aerospace or defense systems and > 4 years in technical leadership or IPT lead roles.

Experience with control account management or managing a budget

Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to produce clear technical documentation and deliver executive or customer briefings.

Active Secret Clearance with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Masters degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering

Direct experience on interceptor or defensive missile programs

Experienced with engineering supply chain management

Experience leading failure review and analysis

Familiar with Lockheed Martin electrical and/or mechanical design and development tools (Siemens Xpedition, PTC Creo / Windchill)

Functional team leadership experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
