We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Systems Engineer to join our Next Gen Geo (NGG) Operations and Sustainment team. As a key member of this team, you will play a critical role in providing time, operational support to various teams for the operation and maintenance of Ground and Space system software and equipment. As well as providing system maintenance support for a large system of computers (Linux environment), associated switching, network, communication circuits, and equipment. Ensuring system Ground and Space functionality during operations and testing environments.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Linux, system troubleshooting skills, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen; this position requires a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience in Linux
- Must be able to support 24x7 operations environment
- Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire)
- System troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a dynamic environment
- Active SECRET clearance
Desired Skills:
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience with Linux shell scripting
- Background in technology, engineering, software, hardware, system, or network administration
- Satellite systems experience
- Experience with large complex systems
- System documentation and program lifecycle experience

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
