Quality Engineer to provide quality oversite within Software Production Quality Assurance (PQA) and at our Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS).
PQA requires the review and auditing of domestic and foreign software programs, media, and hard drives prior to official delivery to our customer. This requires extensive computer/database work to review software loads, versioning, and corresponding artifacts required by the contract. The ability to issue Non-Conformances and assist with identifying root cause and corrective actions.
Quality support of CSEDS includes reviewing and auditing of Site Change Implementation Notices (SCINs) of new hardware and software into various program computer testing suites. Inspect incoming and outgoing hardware deliveries, identifying any issues of equipment prior to shipping or during receipt of transport. Attend and audit Software installs within the program test suites. The ability to issue Non-Conformances and assist with identifying root cause and corrective actions. Oversite of CSEDS processes and work instructions along with working directly with the US Navy to conduct Zone Audits. Track Zone Audit findings to closure while providing status to the Navy Chief.
This position requires in-depth computer skills, communication skills, and relationship building as there will be direct interaction with the US Navy, DCMA, and TechRep.

Basic Qualifications:
Familiarity with software development lifecycle
Ability to learn software tool sets/end databases to conduct audits
Must be detail oriented and have the flexibility change work tasks based on priorities
Must be a team player with excellent computer and verbal skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level
US Citizenship is required for this role
Desired Skills:
Experience with the following software tools - QAA, WIndChill, Jira, STARSYS Unix
The ability to multi-task
