The Government Aftermarket Services team supports all aspects of Viasat's broad portfolio including the United States and international government customers.. We manage everything from initial customer demand through servicing our customer, developing and managing logistics/sustainment solutions to developing a technology roadmap that will move our company ahead.
As a Logistics Program Analyst, you are responsible for coordinating and integrating all facets of the customers' support activities. This opportunity is a unique and rewarding position combining aspects of field service, manufacturing, depot repair, customer support, and logistics management. This responsibility entails working in a dynamic environment executing contract scope and interfacing cross functionally. You will coordinate with logistics and support services across multiple Viasat locations to ensure seamless sustainment support is provided to the programs and customers. This role's emphasis is for the government services business products, from development, sustainment, and end of products' lifecycle.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of government product spare parts, repair activity, and aftermarket management across the globe. You will build extensive Product Support, Logistics and Service experience in executing primary responsibilities.

Salary range
$74,000.00 - $116,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $91,500.00- $137,500.00/ annually

The day-to-day
- Planning and coordinating customer support activities and global service parts logistics, including return, repair and upgrade of products
- Facilitating report outs to stakeholders on recurring and ad hoc basis regarding sustainment and install failure trends as well as metrics on cost, performance, and internal/external customer satisfaction
- Coordinating reverse logistics process flows across distribution channels
- Determining optimum inventory levels and field stocking locations for global network spares
- Managing supplier performance, including communicating aftermarket repair metrics and driving improvements
- Developing business service contracts and ensuring execution against forecasts
- Participating in and executing corporate-wide logistics strategy development
- Supporting the Aftermarket team's management on projects and initiatives
- Engaging with stakeholders around the world
What you'll need
- 2+ years of experience managing sustainment support and After Market Services scope
- Strong supplier and/or customer interface, leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skills
- Proven leadership of programs with key deliverables of efficiency, key results, and/or cost savings
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization from executives to tactical teams
- Experience working with customer service, product support, field service, test engineering and reliability engineering
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Advanced excel and database skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field

- Experience with continuous process improvement methodologies including 5S, lean, or six sigma
- Eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
