Duties

This position, located in an ANG Wing Force Support Squadron, directs a small team consisting of 2-4 subordinate Full-time CSS personnel supporting Commander's Support Staff (CSS)and Orderly Room (CCQ) operations at the Group level. The incumbent oversees CSS/CCQ functions; ensures efficient daily administrative support and manages military program execution per the Personnel Services Delivery Guide (PSDG). Responsibilities include training and mentoring personnel to maintain mission readiness and compliance with Air Force policies.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance. For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
  • Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
  • May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
  • The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver's license is mandatory.
Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Must have1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Must have experience and knowledge of military human resources policies, rules, guidelines, instructions, etc to understand the assigned program(s) and converse effectively with functional managers, advise commanders, customers, lower graded personnel, or lower echelons. Must have experience and ability to plan, organize work, administer, communicate effectively (both orally and in writing), meet deadlines, gather, analyze data/products, and summarize facts in order to determine adequacy and/or deficiencies of assigned programs.

Education

If you are using Education to qualify for this position, master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

You must provide a copy of Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.

This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Man power and Personnel (NGB-J1)
