NewGen Technologies is seeking a VMware Platform Management Engineer to join a partner's team in Washington D.C.

Duration: 7 months +
VMware Platform Management - Install, configure, and support vSphere (8.x), NSX T/NSX V, vSAN, and related services.
Hyper Converged Systems - Experience with DellEMC VxRail and PowerFlex clusters (preferred), including capacity planning, health monitoring, and firmware upgrades.
Storage Operations - Manage block and file storage solutions (Dell/EMC preferred), perform LUN provisioning, file system administration, and data protection tasks.
Network Integration - Configure and maintain top of rack (ToR) switches, VLANs, and NA IP routing required for virtual networking and storage traffic.
Automation & Scripting - Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks (preferred) for provisioning, patching, and compliance tasks.
Security & Hardening - Apply DISA STIGs and vendor specific hardening guides to both hardware and software components; conduct regular vulnerability scans and remediation.
Documentation & Collaboration - Produce clear run books, change control records, and knowledge base articles; partner with cross functional teams (application, security, networking) to resolve incidents and implement projects.
