- Logistics Analyst in support of the Theater Medical Information Program - Maritime (TMIP-M) and Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) Operational Medicine Care Delivery Platform (OPMED CDP).
- Responsible for interfacing with eternal commands for getting new TMIP-M/JOMIS software releases approved for installation on afloat and ashore platforms.
- Responsible for organizing and implementing a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information.
- Manages the performance of logistics functions including system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics support (ILS) of major systems.
- Duties may include managing the control of the flow of goods, services and information between the point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements as well as ensuring the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes.
- Work to achieve operational targets with significant impact on departmental results. Work independently under limited supervision. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Ship Change Documents (SCD) required for the fielding of new software and hardware releases within the Navy Data Environment (NDE) database.
- Serve as the POC for all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) requirements and development.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of logistics planning requirements for program management plans,
- Advise on product and logistics matters, business planning, metrics management, and all other aspects of logistics management within the area of responsibility.
- Ensure medical systems are accurately accounted for within various databases within the Navy Modernization process manual (NMP MOM).
- Identify, analyze, and refine technical and release management requirements for new and existing software/hardware releases with minimal oversight while mitigating risks.
- Provide advice and recommendations on modernization policies, processes and guidelines recommending resolutions on any problems and issues that may cause delay in the fielding schedule.
- Ensure configuration management records are entered and maintained in the Navy's current logistics data system Model Based Product Support (MBPS) database.
- Provide metrics and status of ILS Certifications in process/approved while attending meetings such as Ships' Planning Meetings, and Integrated Logistics Management Team Meetings as needed.
- Ensure proper logistics support is in place to support shipboard system installation, upgrades, and modifications. Coordinate with ILS Certification submitters and stakeholders to assure identification of proper logistics and accurate/complete ILS certifications.
- Maintain metrics for each process and report progress to the Project Lead avoiding delay in release schedules.
- Work extremely well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, interfacing daily with Project Lead, testers, and engineers, to identify and specify requirements for a wide range of applications while executing team plans and goals.
- Interact independently with mid to high level Navy leadership and customers in the planning and execution of new software/hardware releases being fielded to the Fleet in a disciplined manner.
- Utilize word processing/desktop publishing applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and web browsers.
- Submit packages through the Regional Maintenance & Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO).
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings through TEAMS concerning ships classes, baseline managers, and ship availability managers.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Knowledge of Medical Applications such as Navy Data Environment (NDE), Afloat Master Planning System (AMPS), Model Based Product Support (MBPS), Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA).
- Strong communication skills (written/oral), attention to details, and time management.
- 5+ years of relevant experience life-cycle sustainment project and product management.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in health field, logistics and supply, or related field.
- Strong planning and execution skills.
- Ability to work through issues and come up with a solution.
