We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Integration Engineering Supervisor within the ASI Division located in Poway, CA.
This position will support sub-assembly design through manufacturing, initial testing, integration onto the physical aircraft and work among peers in a team environment, all within Poway.

This position will support sub-assembly design through manufacturing, initial testing, integration onto the physical aircraft and work among peers in a team environment, all within Poway.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and direct the work of the EE Integration Engineers and oversee their output for consistency and accuracy
- Plan and schedule work assignments for the team. Monitor project schedules, timelines and deliverables using standard project management tools and related engineering systems
- Provide leadership and act as an advisor for determining engineering objectives, guide project planning, oversee design and phase reviews, technical assessments, and design control documentation
- Responsible for the electrical Integration of avionics module and payloads into unmanned air vehicle systems.
- Provides supervision and direction to design or technical staff.
- Identifies issues in engineering and manufacturing and utilizes resources for resolution.
- Reviews engineering specifications, drawings, and processes. Confers across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information.
- Supports Design for Manufacturing efforts to ensure consistency, usage of standard parts, practices and processes, and to ensure custom tooling is minimized.
- Integration involvement during aircraft production first builds of avionics and harnesses.
- Verifies installation requirements are communicated and depicted on engineering documentation during integration efforts.
- Supports the sustainment efforts of released product; perform mechanical failure investigations and recommend design improvements.
- May be involved in the development of new tooling using 3D printing techniques for proof of concept or in support of mechanical or electrical test efforts.
- Develops appropriate documentation of findings and implemented solutions, and communicates results to project engineering staff
- Documents findings, communicates results to engineering staff, makes technical presentations, and may represent the organization as the prime technical contact on small identifiable projects.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; nine or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, seven or more years of experience with a masters degree, or four or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a general understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory with technical experience demonstrating the application of those concepts while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
- Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables.
- Good communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are required to enable an effective interface with other professionals, to produce appropriate documentation, and to present results to a limited internal audience.
- Must be able to work both independently and on a team.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
