Title: Systems Engineer 3 (Secret Clearance)

Location: Colorado Springs, CO- Onsite

Contract role

Salary Range: $60 to $75/hr - Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
• Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Systems engineering (e.g., Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements, or Test)
• Ability to obtain access to an MDA facility, which requires a background investigation by U.S. government authorities
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance or a clearance that has been active in the past 24 months

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance or an active Top Secret clearance is highly desired
• Understanding of DoD and missile defense command and control, battle management, architectures, and communications system concepts
• Experience with verification of requirements
• Understanding of System Engineering and iterative product development using Agile practices
• Experience in scripting and automated test development
• Experience using MATLAB, Python, JAVA, or similar language environment
• Demonstrated experience in systems analysis or performance analysis
• Experience with Agile Development processes

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industry partners to develop and execute assessment programs
• Evaluate systems under various scenarios to optimize overall system mission performance
• Develop and maintain analysis tools, including modeling and simulation tools
• Define, schedule, and execute tasks to lead integration and checkout activities
• Support subject matter experts in system performance and integration domains
• Drive system engineering integration and test or system analysis approach
• Execute and document integration and test activities
• Perform system analysis trade studies to define technical concepts and solutions
