Systems Engineer 1 - Performance Analyst

As a Systems Engineer at Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A), this position will be responsible for analyzing the performance of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system in system-level simulations, supporting the assessment of performance capabilities and opportunities for potential system performance improvements. Efforts will include coordinating with other analysts and resident Subject Matter Experts to determine root cause of performance observations, supporting the development of analysis reports/briefings to be briefed to customers/leadership, and developing Python and Bash tools that support simulation data processing and analysis.

Experience and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
Required Education and Years of Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Required Qualifications:
- This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final US Secret Clearance pre-start is required.
- Experience in coding/scripting with MATLAB/Python/C++ languages
- Ability to review system(s) performance and identity root-caused and recommend solutions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Background experience in Aerospace
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience and knowledge of GMD program
- Experience with statistical analysis, distributions, and sampling in Monte Carlo simulations
- Organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations, etc.
- Technical experiences as demonstrated through technical projects, research engineering internships or full-time engineering roles, etc.
- Ability to work independently and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment with a diverse internal team.
