Description:This position is responsible for overseeing quality operations for international programs across Precision Fires. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes, and you will play a key role in managing a team of quality professionals and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive quality excellence. Strong leadership skills are essential as this position directly interfaces with executive leadership across the spectrum of production and development operations. Experience dealing with internal and external customers is essential and will be required to support the established business rhythm. This role requires experience in the deployment and management of cross functional support to meet program commitments. Strong communication skills are required to support senior leader and customer briefings.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that applies quality principles in various areas, including development of quality management systems, design, production control, and product evaluation. You will perform technical evaluations, collaborate with program management and customers on quality-related issues, and engage in product failure investigations and corrective action development.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Managing a team of quality professionals who apply quality principles in areas such as design, production control, and product evaluation-Performing technical evaluations of product
Drive strategies resulting in contemporary and optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System and talent development
Develop and implement processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks
Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to ensure quality standards are in place
Establish Program Quality Management System that comply with customer requirements and governmental regulatory standards
Utilize quality methodologies and Missiles and Fire Control policies and procedures
Establish performance metrics and conducting data analysis to identify process improvements
Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices
Analysis to drive Corrective Action and Preventive Action
Liaison between program and the Customer to ensure
Customer satisfaction and accomplishment of Customer requirements
Develop talent to strengthen the organization
Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or above, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry
Experience managing the development, modification, application and maintenance of quality standards and protocol for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product
Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
Effective presentation skills, ability to develop messages, training and compelling strategies resulting in diverse teams implementing and executing new solutions
Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Engineering and Technology, Operations, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, Program Management and all other stakeholders
Experience working with Government customers
Experienced as a team lead and facilitator
Ability to influence outcomes
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Must have the ability to travel
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or above preferred.
Experience working with International Operations and Customers
Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM)
Familiar with requirements for handling and control of Government Furnished Equipment/Property during field, ground or operational tests
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Advanced AS9100, AS9102 and TS 16949 Interpretation and application experience
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
