Description:You will be the F-16 Egress Aircraft Mechanic for the Taiwan F-16 Block 70 Egress Team which is responsible for delivering expert egress support to the Taiwan Air Force. This position will support the Taiwan Air Force at Taitung Air Base, Taiwan.
What You Will Be Doing
As the F-16 Egress Aircraft Mechanic you will be responsible for ensuring the aircraft's egress and life-support systems are mission ready, safe, and compliant with contract requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Install egress and life-support components on F-16 aircraft.
- Inspect and certify egress systems for operational readiness.
- Perform operational checks and maintenance on seats, canopies, and life-support systems.
- Serve as the on-site subject-matter expert for F-16 Block 70 egress differences.
- Lead technical support and reporting to the Associate Manager for the Taiwan F-16 Block 70 contract.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain an interim clearance to start.
Physical Requirements:
This position may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4 years aircraft egress system experience
- Willing to travel for training prior to assignment overseas
- Ability to mentor others and communicate concepts and procedures to fellow technicians and customer
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals; understanding symbols, cautions, notes and warnings
- Ability to obtain interim clearance and maintain DOD secret clearance and any required special access
Desired Skills:
- Military Fighter aircraft egress experience
- Craftsman level (xx-level USAF) or similar from Navy, Army, Marines in the egress or escape systems field
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
