As a HR SPEC (INFORMATION SYSTEMS/MILITARY) (GS-0201-11) you will plan, organize, administer, and troubleshoot the operation and data base integrity of the Military Personnel Data System in support of military human resources management functions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
Must have 1-year specialized experience must be equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Must have experience and knowledge of military human resources policies, rules, guidelines, instructions, etc to understand the assigned program(s) and converse effectively with functional managers, advise commanders, customers, lower graded personnel, or lower echelons. Providing management advisory services to users on the technical aspects of PDS applications, the capabilities available within the systems to assist them in day-to-day operations and their impact on personnel programs. Analyzing agency procedures as they affect local automated and non-automated FSS processes and operations and recommends modifications to meet local requirements.

If you are using Education to qualify for this position, Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Recruitment/Relocation Incentive: May be authorized for highly qualified candidates or hard to fill positions. TAG is final approval authority for any incentive requests.
PCS - Relocation costs are authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation and an agency determination that a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is in the Government's best interest.
Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to newly appointed federal employees or those with a 90 day break in service).
