Overview

The ServiceNow SME will configure ServiceNow, Strategic Portfolio Management to quickly address Strategic Planning, Project Portfolio Management, Demand Management, Resource Management, Enterprise Architecture, Agile Management processes and evaluate both the office organization and the ServiceNow implementation to make recommendations to streamline delivery in conjunction with Cayuse management. This role will create ServiceNow strategy as well as perform hands-on configuration and development as part of an energetic and focused reorganization. Leads integration with external tools as needed. Should be able to act as ServiceNow Architect when architect is unavailable.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an engagement or workstream lead across all aspects of a ServiceNow SPM project and solution delivery including but not limited to design, configuration/development, testing and deployment phases.
  • Ability to communicate the configuration in both verbal and architectural design.
  • Ability to build and foster client relationships and demonstrate value.
  • Excellent business acumen with the ability to make fact-based decisions and resolve conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and industry leading practice expertise for ServiceNow SPM process implementations, including how specific business objectives can be met through process and technology transformation.
  • Ability to communicate Technology Business Management (TBM) concepts as part of ServiceNow SPM efforts.
  • Ability to lead client process and design sessions and facilitate requirements workshops with functional and/or business process area subject matter resources if needed.
  • Ability to create high quality deliverables and project artifacts.
  • Develop ServiceNow Architecture in conjunction with current ServiceNow Architect.
  • Communicate past experience with ServiceNow Portfolio, Security best practices to current team to train on best practices.
  • Provide critical information to Senior Management to include data collection, discovery, gap analysis, cost impact analysis, and process improvement for many projects/tasks and quarterly key performance indicator monitoring initiatives.
  • Collaborate with intra- and inter-department resources and stakeholders to facilitate discussions and provide information dissemination in support of key mission initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Hands-on professional experience with Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) a must
  • Experience handling multiple projects at once.
  • Experience taking over management of projects at different levels of completion.
  • Experience in agile delivery model.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience working in government, defense, or security-related fields.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or other IT service management and governance frameworks.

Working Conditions
