Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AI Architect to support the CISA Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program in Fairfax, VA.

Key Responsibilities
- Set AI Strategy: Define AI architectures, principles, use cases, and roadmaps aligned to program goals; ensure consistent and secure adoption across teams.
- Design AI Solutions: Build ML, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI solutions using modern frameworks and cloud platforms.
- Policy & Communication: Interpret AI-related laws and policies; craft clear program AI guidance.
- Leadership: Identify required AI skill sets, mentor teams, and support recruitment and upskilling.
- Evaluation & R&D: Assess new AI tools and technologies, analyze business problems, and guide program-level recommendations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's in related field or 5+ years AI engineering/architecture experience
- Deep knowledge of AI principles, architectures, security considerations
- Experience with ML/DL/NLP/GenAI and Python/Java/C++
- Cloud and AI platform experience (AWS GovCloud preferred)
- Hands-on use of tools such as Sagemaker, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Databricks, Elasticsearch
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment
Desired Skills
- 4+ years designing/implementing enterprise solutions and integrating security frameworks (e.g., NIST RMF)
- Government delivery experience ($50M+ programs)
- Experience with APIs, data management, documentation, and visualization
- Familiarity with federal cybersecurity requirements (FISMA, FIPS, SecOps)
- Experience with DevSecOps, Elastic products, and CDM environment
Compensation:

- Salary Range: $160,000 - $185,000 (depending on experience)
