Job Description
TEKsystems is looking to bring on a Systems Administrator. The Systems Admin will sit on site at the Warminster location to provide support and administration on classified and unclassified systems for the facility and lab personnel. This person will be responsible for computer services, networks and servers.
This role is broad- we are seeking someone desktop experience, as well as some server and high level, unique network experience. 80% of the role will involve commodity support, standard desktop work. However, 20% of the role will support very specific projects (collateral networks, high side networks, TS/SCI level projects... to help secure the network. A Cyber person is on site, so the Sys Admin would work in conjunction with this individual on these projects.)
Responsibilities include:
· Administration of various operating system distributions; support server and network infrastructure
· Oversee the installation and configuration of systems to comply with Government regulations
· Implement system and software testing
· Respond and evaluate system and network security incidents
· Maintain and update documentation for systems and networks
· Evaluate potential equipment components and software
· Present system and network security principles and technology solutions to diverse audiences
· Routinely interact with other Information Technology professionals
· Provide specialized guidance and customer support to staff and customers
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science and Technology, or a related Engineering/Science degree is preferred. Experience and knowledge with the following specific technologies is highly desirable:
· VMware
· Advanced Linux administration
· LDAP authentication and management
· Enterprise storage resources; systems management (SCCM, Centrify, Puppet/Foreman, Redhat Satellite)
· Systems integration in a heterogeneous network environment
· Active Directory/Group Policy
· High-level networking skills
Requirements include:
