We have an exciting opportunity in our Aerospace Systems Engineering department for an Integration, Assembly, and Test Lead. This full-time position will serve as the IA&T Lead for a missile system. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for a multi-disciplinary team distributed between Huntsville, AL, Tupelo, MS, Fredericksburg, VA, and San Diego, CA. The IA&T Lead will support the Chief Engineer through all phases of the design, development, integration, and test of the missile system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to a multi-disciplinary IA&T team that encompasses integration of classified technologies into weapon systems, and assembly of the system, and ground and flight testing in direct support of a new program initiative
- Manage issues of compatibility, interfaces, functionality and system operability
- Ability to interface with Systems Engineering in the review of Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM) and individual requirements for mapping within test plans and procedures.
- Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Leads the development, modifies, and executes highly complex test plans, integration flows and procedures, and test procedures.
- Leads the execution of ground and flight tests, documents test results and test reports.
- Leads efforts for systems inspections, testing, verification, and validation of assigned systems.
- Provide direction for integrated testing activities (ground and flight). Collaborate with engineering to resolve highly complex and diverse issues.
- Provide leadership in the development/updating of test standards and operating procedures.
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to less experienced systems test staff.
- Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Guide the identification, communication, documentation of test objectives, and development of test procedures, assembly and integration processes and instructions accordingly
- Support technical interchanges for integration and test activities on a major missile system program acting as the primary interface with the Chief Engineer, program management, other IPT Leads, government customers, General Atomics leadership/management, national test ranges, range safety offices, other test related organizations
- Assist the planning, development and execution of major program technical reviews including System Requirements Review, Preliminary Design Review, and Critical Design Review.
- Lead the planning, development and execution of Test Readiness Reviews
- Facilitate rapid resolution of technical delays that impact tasks including real-time, thorough communication with other IPTs
- Collaborate daily with GA and customer engineering and program management teams
- Support the program manager in the development of statements-of-work (SOWs) and technical requirements documents for subcontractors
- Support the program manager and chief engineer by providing technical oversight to subcontractors
- Support development, review, and editing of technical documents and proposals
- Perform other duties as required.
- We operate on a 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; twelve or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, ten or more years of experience with a masters degree, or seven or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.
- Must have a complete and detailed understanding of systems test concepts, theory, and operations and experience demonstrating those skills.

- Demonstrated experience in leading an organization in the integration and testing of weapon systems or other complex system.
- Proven performance in the startup and operations of an integration and test facility and in developing a team to support IA&T activities
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency in coordinating and working on large cross-functional teams and interacting with the technical customers and senior technical managers
- Must possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task and project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems
- Travel expectation: 25%
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
- Must be willing to work extended hours to meet deadlines and increase probability of project success.
