Software Engineer (Top Secret) {S}

Position Overview:

Our RST business unit is seeking an individual familiar with Agile methodologies to serve as a scrum master on one of our programs working with the US Government. In this position, you will be at the forefront of implementing software in a new and growing development area and take ownership of the technical work under a more senior product owner who is broadly recognized in the community, learning directly from the best.

The team is based in Ypsilanti, Michigan. This work requires candidates to be a U.S. citizen holding a Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate all scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, program increment planning, and program increment reviews
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using modern programming languages and technologies
• Be able to identify opportunities for improvement/efficiency, get buy-in across the program, and implement
• Be a leader by directly overseeing development, mentoring other staff members, and sharing your knowledge
• Learning from our recognized leaders and setting oneself up for future leadership in the area
• Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation and build, documentation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner

Required Qualifications:

• U.S. citizenship with a current/active Top Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance
• Experience with government contracts and familiarity with government development processes
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to resolve impediments and conflicts efficiently and effectively
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence as mechanisms for tracking work and communicating with customers
• Must be willing to work on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of professional experience in lieu of degree
• Programming skills in C++, Python, Java, or Rust
• Desire to learn new technologies
