As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Developing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures that establish the framework for the management of Information Technology policy and planning applications.
- Identifying and addressing Information Technology workforce planning, prioritization, evaluation and monitoring, cost schedule management, risk management, quality management and resource allocations.
- Serves as a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist in support of a wide set of policy, products and services within DMDC's portfolio of capabilities. Provides methods and approaches for sharing information through the use of Information Technology performance measurement tools to help identify and resolve Information Technology workforce issues.
- Leading a team that is responsible for the planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including: gathering, prioritizing customer requirements, assisting in defining the vision, and working closely with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining strategic plans; assessing policy needs and developing policies to govern Information Technology activities. Provides policy guidance to Information Technology management, staff, and customers to help define current and future business environments. Prepares Information Technology budgets; manages Information Technology investment portfolios in establishing metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance and total cost of ownership.
- Provide oversight of enterprise architecture function of developing and maintaining the organization's architectural blueprint, ensuring this framework effectively guides technology decisions, aligns IT investments with strategic business objectives, and supports enterprise-wide transformation.

- Strong understanding of IT strategic planning, resource allocation, and architectural principles, coupled with proven leadership skills and the ability to navigate a complex environment.
- Experience applying industry best practices and cutting-edge industry trends to optimize operations, specifically leveraging industry experience to inform the application of Department of Defense (DoD) and Secretary of Defense (SECDEF) Executive Orders and initiatives.
- Experience with effective IT Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture.
- Strong background in the private sector with a perspective that encourages innovative solutions and approaches traditional government frameworks.
- Strategic thinking, skilled communications and dedicated leadership capabilities.
- Project management of IT projects, to include using project management tools and best practice techniques and processes.
