Amentum is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, entry-level Financial Analyst, with excellent communication skills, to support the B40 Radar Operations. This position will be located on-site in Dahlgren, VA.
The Financial Analyst will assist in the development and management of financial summaries, reports, and data call responses to project Sponsors, project Leads, and the Department.

The Financial Analyst will assist in the development and management of financial summaries, reports, and data call responses to project Sponsors, project Leads, and the Department.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in the documentation and maintenance of project financial and budgetary items and processing of administrative related actions.
- Document and track expenditures and expenditure rates.
- Investigate, document, and respond to requests for the review of unliquidated obligations.
- Assist in the creation and upkeep of accounting actions, status tracking, and data collection in EDW, ERP, and IBPES.

Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in Business or Finance); or Five (5) years demonstrated experience analyzing program budgets
- Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze current and past financial data and performance;
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and projections based on this analysis;
- Demonstrated ability to identify trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement;
- Demonstrated ability to identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts;
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data;
- Demonstrated experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions to produce graphs, charts, and pivot tables
Preferred Experience:
- Working knowledge of ERP and IBPES
- Knowledge of government financial types/systems
