Senior Engineer

Contingent upon prime contractor approval.

Purpose

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Senior Engineer in Huntsville, AL.
• In this role you will get to provide technical ground and radar site support to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) Engineering lead.

Job Description

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance regarding the THAAD weapon system with international partners.
• Assist Engineering Lead with managing the technical aspects of all assigned force design work.
• Collaborate and coordinate on force design technical efforts with multiple external agencies and stakeholders.
• Identify deficiencies and shortcomings in planned or ongoing design reviews and provide options for fixing them.
• Document and communicate interim and final technical findings and results in a clear manner that is understandable to senior-level decision makers. .

Qualifications

• Must have a MS degree in STEM and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project.
• Must have a Technical understanding and experience with missile defense or radar systems.
• Must be able to develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel; exceptional written and verbal skills required.
• Must be able to work independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
• Must have familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and/or THAAD Program Office work efforts.
• Must be proficient in system engineering and execution processes.
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Desired Qualifications

• Prior experience within Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs, preferred.
• Working knowledge of the THAAD weapon system, preferred.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes, preferred.
• Work within a collaborative environment composed of Government, prime contractor, sub-contractor and supporting contractor personnel, preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance, preferred.
• Self-starter with enthusiasm and capacity to learn in a fast-paced environment, and work across organizational boundaries, preferred.

Security Requirements

• Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 25%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in an office environment
• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
