Description
SAIC is seeking a Junior Electronics Technician in Panama City Beach, FL. The qualified candidate will support the Navy's LCAC ACV program at NSWC PCD in a fast moving team work environment. Work will be performed onsite 5 days a week.
This position is contingent upon award news in Summer 2026.
Job Responsibilities:
• Production builds of various electronic equipment.
• Work in 2M electronics repair lab.
• Perform QA checks of equipment.
• Test components using established procedures through hole and surface mount CCA, 2M.
• Travel for FMT (fleet maintenance team) activities.
• Document daily work and submit weekly status reports.
• Assist and document build of prototype devices.
Qualifications
Required education:
• Bachelor's degree and 0 yrs experience in electronics assembly or integration, or years of experience considered in lieu of degree.
Required Qualifications:
• Understand mechanical and electrical assembly drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of proper tool use for crimping various electrical connectors.
• Ability to follow assembly build books and test procedures for specialized equipment.
• Familiarity with ESD safety procedures.
Clearance:
• US Citizenship
• Minimum of an interim Secret clearance required to start; Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience soldering to J-STD-001.
• Expertise with electronics test equipment including DMM's, signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with fabrication of cable assemblies for marine use.
• Experience inspecting electrical assemblies for quality control.
