Northrop Grumman Missions Systems / Combat Sensors business unit is seeking experienced engineers with expertise in the design, integration, and production support of highly complex RF Subsystem (LRU) and Assembly (LRM and lower component level) related to back-end Signal Conversion Technology/Receiver/Exciter. This requisition is for two positions tied to Workload Forecast Demand IDs 287221 and 254712.
Qualified candidates will lead a diverse and talented team of engineers developing, integrating and providing production-follow of our next generation receiver/exciter systems. Applicants shall be capable of applying advanced technical principles, theories, concepts, and practical technical experience to the design, integration and production support of back-end Signal Conversion Technology products.
Responsibilities will include development of RF receiver / exciter architectures, requirements generation/flow down; RF subsystem analysis including hardware from RF to digits, RF performance modeling, test integration for requirements verification, and interface with adjacent subsystems and top-level system. Work will be performed under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range goals and objectives. Experienced applicants will have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Science or other related technical degree and have experience designing, developing and/or testing radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems and/or related RF hardware. Candidates should have the ability to work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

Primary Level Salary Range: $184,100.00 - $276,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Subsystem requirements (hardware and software) derivation, flow-down, and configuration
- Familiarity working with embedded real time software and digital systems
- Familiarity with firmware development tool suites including Quartus and Vivado
- Comfortable creating test support applications and tools using MATLAB, python, etc
- Experience with agile software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite, GIT
This requisition is contingent upon candidates having a Current Active Secret Clearance per business requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline with 14 years of experience in the areas described in the job description or 12 years of experience with a Master's Degree and/or 8 years of experience with a PhD.
- US Citizenship and a current active Secret Clearance
- Ability to develop highly novel solutions to a broad variety of RF/Microwave design and test related problems of complex difficulty which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Established subject matter expertise in numerous areas of RF/Microwave discipline including but not limited to: Receiver and Exciter technology, Antenna, RF components & assemblies, requirements development, EM and related modeling & simulation, RF test verification, production test support, and design for producibility
- Exhibit expert proficiency with industry standard RF/Microwave modeling, simulation and printed circuit board design tools (i.e. ANSYS HFSS/Maxwell, CST Microwave, Eagleware/Genesys, Hyperlynx, Keysight ADS, Xpedition, AutoCAD)
- Sr. Staff Engineers should have a demonstrated ability in technical and team leadership overseeing engineers with experience at least at the Sr. Principal level.
- Proven knowledge of electrical engineering design software and equipment
- Ability to design, implement, install and maintain electrical systems
