MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Composite Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or Corrosion Engineering
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Aerospace Metallic, Nonmetallic, and or Hazardous materials
- Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans
- Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

As the Material & Process Engr you will be responsible for translating advanced material science into real-world aerospace applications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing, researching, designing, and developing materials and related fabrication processes to optimize performance in structures, systems, and subsystems.
- Applying chemistry, physics, and material-behavior principles to create specifications for metallic, non-metallic, and composite materials and their processing.
- Developing material property models, design allowables, and quality-engineering specifications.
- Conducting failure analyses, life-prediction studies, and defining requirement specifications for components and systems.
- Reviewing and approving subcontractor material-processing procedures to ensure compliance and performance.
