Location: Norfolk, VA
Responsibilities
The Senior Military Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Provide Technical Support and related support services to Afloat Training Group Atlantic (ATGLANT) in Norfolk in the operation, maintenance and development of the Training and Operational Readiness Information Services (TORIS) system.
- Provide products and services related to the analysis, design and evaluation; development, production and implementation; and sustainment of TORIS and ATGLANTs business practices.
- Provide military subject matter expertise in the modernization and upgrade of the TORIS suite of programs; develop new subsystems and program updates to improve performance; improve reliability, maintainability of the system to optimum levels, and usability; create intuitive user guides; maintain configuration management, quality control, customer service, application administration, and systems administration on networks; and deliver training to support fleet readiness.
Knowledge/Experience Description
- Must have 20 years surface navy experience and had a Commander Command position.
- Must have shipboard operational experience as a Surface Warfare Officer managing ships routine including training, operations, maintenance and repair at a senior level.
- 5 years experience with surface ship training and certification process at TYCOM, Strike Group or Training Command
- Experience with commercial or military enterprise program management
- Knowledge of effective leadership of cross functional teams and how to improve cross functional business processes
- Ability to conduct workshops and control meetings that identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities
- Experience with requirements development and analysis of alternatives in Navy environment
- Working knowledge of military shipboard systems operations, and tactics
- Experience with configuration management and control as it relates to training processes
- Experience in the analysis of individual, sub-team, team and/or unit level performance data
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Program tools
- Briefing experience with an in-depth comprehension of development of briefs for senior flag, coalition, and congressional level audience
- Secret Clearance verifiable in DISS
