Job Description

Nexagen Networks is seeking a skilled Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to plan, direct, and oversee cybersecurity activities supporting mission-critical DoD systems. This role is responsible for managing cybersecurity risk, supporting system authorization and accreditation efforts, and ensuring compliance with DoD security policies and standards. The ISSM will work closely with engineering, program management, and government stakeholders to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems operating in regulated environments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong cybersecurity leadership experience, a deep understanding of security controls and assessment processes, and the ability to operate effectively across complex enterprise environments.
Position Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support Wideband Control software, cybersecurity audits, system accreditation, and program protection activities
• Conduct technical evaluations of information system designs with a focus on security controls and accreditation requirements
• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks, and databases
• Interpret, assess, and apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Perform duties as an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) administrator
• Review subsystem cybersecurity documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy
• Support ongoing RMF activities and continuous monitoring efforts
• Travel is required
Qualifications

• Current and active DoD Top Secret clearance
• 4-6 years of professional cybersecurity experience
• Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operations
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Domain Name System (DNS)
• Hands-on experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
• Understanding of Host Based Security System (HBSS)
• Knowledge of IP networking, switches, and network security fundamentals
• Experience implementing and interpreting Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to reprioritize tasks quickly and clearly communicate the impact of change
• Quick learner who is creative, resourceful, and capable of working independently and as part of a team

Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Prior DoD experience or military training
• DISA certification for Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
