Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Network Engineer to support the design and maintenance of sophisticated accredited enterprise networks for an IC customer. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong enterprise routing/switching expertise and experience working in secure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise network design efforts, system upgrades, security implementations, and sustainment operations
  • Evaluate and integrate new network technologies and provide recommendations to projech leadership.
  • Plan and design network configurations to support performance, scalability, and compatibility requirements
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco (and other vendor) routers, multilayer switches, and network encryption devices
  • Design and plan network communications systems and manage small projects from initial planning through implementation
  • Support senior leadership initiatives and coordinate with the CIO and external IT organizations
  • Monitor network health, diagnose outages or performance issues, and restore services as required
  • Conduct network testing, topology surveys, and lifecycle engineering activities
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including schematics, Layer 2/Layer 3 provisioning, and Configuration Control Board (CCB) materials
  • Present technical approaches and solutions to engineering review boards and stakeholder teams


Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of experience supporting network configuration, maintenance, and full lifecycle engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking, especially routing and switching (Cisco preferred)
  • Strong expertise in VLANs, trunking, multicast, and network security appliances
  • Extensive hands-on experience supporting routers, switches, encryption devices, and workstations


Salary Range

USD $170,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
