Description

Markon is looking for a Security Administrator to work on our Operations team in Falls Church, VA. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in the office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) on security and clearance matters in adherence of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and execution of all classified contracts.
• Operate a fully compliant industrial security program; administer and implement company security policies, plans and procedures to meet Government regulations and contract-specific requirements.
• Operate Markon's security education, training, and awareness program; develop and prepare training materials and administer all security education and training for the company including insider threat, initial and annual training.
• Develop, implement, maintain and enforce Security Operating Procedures (SOP) and policy(ies).
• Manage the security clearance process and accesses for all company employees utilizing DISS and NBIS
• Directly interface with Customer Security Departments/Organizations and develop/maintain those relationships.
• Administer processes to sponsor, obtain and maintain Facility (Security) Clearances (FCL) in NISS.
• Maintain positive and proactive relationship with client and company personnel to ensure efficient processing and transition of new and continuing contracts.
• Maintain positive and proactive relationship with all subcontracting security representatives to ensure compliance with government regulations.
• Prepare Sub DD254's as required.
• Maintain the corporate Insider Threat Program Plan and ensure all working members are in compliance and employees are properly briefed.
• Conduct in-processing and out-processing briefings for new hires and exiting employees.
• Conduct facility and personnel clearance verifications utilizing DISS.
• Prepare and maintain records for DCSA inspections.
• Prepare and submit visit authorizations to requesting companies/agencies.
• Process government badge renewals.
• Create and maintain personnel security files/folders.
• Engage in employee training activities as needed (onboarding, cybersecurity, etc.)
• Generate internal/external facility and personnel security related reports, as needed.
• Coordinate with Markon stakeholders, as requested, for proposal support purposes, Cybersecurity compliance actions, etc.
• Perform additional Security support as needed

Qualifications

• Must have a Top Secret clearance (SCI Access/Poly preferred)
• Must have experience supporting the personnel security clearance process within the Intelligence space.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and ability to effectively present information. An energetic, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
• Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) rules, regulations, and procedures
• Experience with DISS is required
• Experience with NBISS, NISS, eApp, SPOT-ES, etc. preferred, but not required
• Minimum 3-5 years' industrial and/or personnel security experience required
• Completion of DCSA Security Education requirements for qualification as FSO for non-possessing facility
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and Microsoft Office suite tools.

Salary Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 /Yr.
