Location: Fort Meade, MD (On-site minimum 3 days per week)

Essential Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and implement Java‑based software capabilities.
Collaborate with engineering team members to build high‑quality software solutions that meet customer requirements.
Apply strong testing, troubleshooting, and debugging skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Work effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Contribute to API design, microservices development, and modern software architecture patterns.
Support Agile development practices and participate in sprint activities.
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
Bachelor’s + 5 years software engineering experience, OR
Master’s + 3 years relevant experience, OR
High School Diploma/equivalent + 9 years relevant experience.
Strong experience with Java and modern Java frameworks/libraries (e.g., Spring, Spring Boot, Guava).
Experience designing enterprise APIs and building RESTful web services.
Experience with Microservices architecture and Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
Hands-on experience in the Agile software lifecycle.
Proven ability to learn quickly and work both independently and collaboratively.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Git, Nexus, Maven).
Ability to work onsite at Fort Meade, MD at least three days per week, with flexibility as schedules evolve.
Preferred Qualifications
DoD 8140/8570 compliance certification (Security+).
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
Experience working with distributed databases, NoSQL data stores, or search engines such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Solr.
Scripting experience (e.g., Python, Bash) is a significant advantage.
Experience with or exposure to Big Data Platforms.
Familiarity with Agile development tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Enterprise).
