The Work
The Launchers Integrated Engineering team is seeking a Lead Member of Engineering Staff - System Architect to support Launchers and Weapons programs within Lockheed Martin's portfolio. The candidate should have the ability to develop and oversee system architectures for complex systems. The candidate in this role will serve as the focal point for Launchers Integrated Engineering for the development and communication of the system architecture and requirements. The candidate in this role will ensure the conversion of mission requirements into total system solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system.
Tasks for Lead Member of Engineering Staff - System Architect on these projects include:
• Providing guidance and leadership to Systems Engineers and System Design and Test engineers throughout program lifecycles.
• Developing systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definitions
• Leading System Reviews (SRRs), and external interface discussions with customer organizations.
• Supporting internal and external design reviews.
• Executing and Leading Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts across multiple programs.
• Maintaining knowledge of current and developing technologies, as well as design and analysis methodologies
• Developing models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific discipline, plus 9 years' total experience
• 5+ years of related experience with development and maintenance of complex system architectures.
• Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to comprehend and work successfully with complex programs
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level
Desired Skills:
• Masters degree in System Architecture or related field
• Prior background working Launching Systems or similar programs
• Prior experience with Rhapsody and/or CAMEO
• Prior experience with DOORS
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
